The Big Hoolie

29th November 2025

Where better to celebrate St Andrew’s Day than right here in St Andrews? Returning for its seventh year in 2025, The Big Hoolie promises an unforgettable day packed with festivities. Enjoy a community market, a live music stage, an exhilarating outdoor ceilidh, and a spectacular fireworks display to cap it all off.

​The Kate Kennedy Spring Procession is a beloved annual event that takes place every April, celebrating the rich history of St Andrews. Featuring over one hundred characters in stunning period attire, the procession culminates in the grand reveal of the mystical Lady Kate. This year marks the 99th anniversary of this cherished tradition, happening on Saturday, April 19th. Don’t miss out on this spectacular event!

St Andrews' International Film Festival is back for its third year! With the theme of BEGINNINGS, the festival has firmly established itself as both a major addition to the Scottish cultural calendar and a key player in the global film festival circuit. Over the course of three exciting days, filmmakers and film lovers will converge on the iconic Scottish town for a stunning lineup of premieres and industry events. It’s an unmissable celebration of cinema!

St Andrews Pride

27th April 2025

St Andrews Pride is back this year on Sunday, 27th April! The event will begin at the Students' Association at 1:30 PM, with the march starting at 2:00 PM. Everyone is welcome, and there will be a post-parade Pride party on Lower College Lawn from 2:30 PM until 4:00 PM.
